Dr. Tawio J. Barksdale, President
Dr. Tawio Barksdale is an author and the founder of Infinity Aspirations, LLC. He was a K-12 educator for over 25 years having served in multiple positions from classroom teacher, instructional and math coach, and school administration. He also has been a college professor and adjunct professor in the schools of education at Converse University and Claflin University.
Since Dr. Barksdale specializes in organizational culture and climate research, he assists districts with recruiting and acquiring the best stakeholders for staff-related positions, and he provides trainings to improve morale, efficacy, and retention within schools and districts. Additionally, he provides training and services that coach districts and schools with creating student-centered programs and initiatives that increase student engagement and improve home/school collaboration. The sessions focus on the use of eclectic culturally responsive strategies for improving instruction/instructional delivery, classroom management, and self/collective efficacy. Within that scope, he also coaches schools and districts with conducting reflective sessions that equip them with strategies for evaluating and maintaining the stakeholder programs they deem to be most effective.
Alon T. Barksdale, Student Mentorship, Data Collection, and Marketing
Alon is a recent college graduate with a degree in psychology from Claflin University. Through sharing his knowledge and experiences, Alon has been a catalyst for numerous initiatives within the organization. Prior to finishing at Claflin University, Alon also attended Susquehanna University, Pennsylvania, where he played on the men’s basketball team for two years. He also played collegiate sports upon attending Claflin University. He is pursuing his masters degree in counseling and therapy, anticipating a career in therapy and mental health.
While in high school, Alon served as a counselor for the Boys and Girls Club, and he was also president of the local Junior Toastmasters. Alon’s school experiences and perspectives have been critical resources for data collection pertinent to recognizing the academic and social and emotional needs of students as learners and as individuals - knowledge that helps guide discussions with districts, schools, and classrooms. Alon is a positive and encouraging mentor to students the organization serves. He provides mentorship to elementary, middle, and high school students in the areas of responsible decision-making as well as perseverance and resiliency. Alon has provided mentorship and motivational talks to high school student-athletes about the physical, mental, and behavioral requirements it takes for being a successful college athlete. He also helps with marketing books and educational services offered by Infinity Aspirations, LLC.
